Towards Precision on the cheap: webcam adaptive control robot arm

At Edinburgh Hacklab we are trying to get precision motion out of really cheap components. This setup cost £48. We used a cheap webcam to close the loop on a cheap robot arm, using VISP, OpenCV and LWPR software. We used an adaptive control system, so the geometry of the robot arm was never measured, the robot learnt how to control itself online.
