In this episode we invite Caris Moses, a PhD student from MIT CSAIL to talk about her research on “How to teach robots to be more curious”. Caris works in the intersection of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

Caris and a group from MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) works in the area of active learning (sometimes referred as curiosity). The group develops a similar kind of active learning like what humans have and apply it to robots. This enables the robot to develop models over time as it experiences and interacts with its environment.
